The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered a baby boy, David Johnny, who was stolen by a doctor with the connivance of his mother, Esther Johnny, and sold to a woman in Abuja.

It was learnt that the mother initially denied knowledge of the crime as the police intensified efforts to unravel the whereabouts of the baby. He stated that when the police apprehended the doctor, he tried to frustrate police investigation into the matter.

He added that the police had to tell the doctor that they would charge him to court for child kidnapping if he failed to produce the missing child.The CP said,..

Photos Of Lady Spotted Driving Big Dangote Truck on Highway

This young lady caused a gridlock yesterday in Ibadan as people stopped their cars just to take pictures of her when spotted driving a heavy duty Dangote truck.

The Twitter user who shared the images said the lady drove so well, she even left other drivers in the traffic after she had wriggled her truck out of the gridlock and drove off.

The Dangote group has graduated from hiring graduates and masters degree holders as drivers to now giving women trucks to drive.

Missing $20B: Our Audit Report Not Reliable: Pricewaterhouse Auditors

The much anticipated report of the forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, operations on the missing $20 billion oil money may not amount to much after all, with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the audit firm that conducted the probe, saying it cannot vouch for the integrity of its findings Premium Times reports.

In a startling introductory letter addressed to Nigeria’s Auditor General, the audit firm said findings in its 199-page report were limited to available information and did not constitute a review in accordance with generally accepted standards.

“The procedures we performed did not constitute an examination or a review in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards or attestation standards,” the firm said.

“Accordingly, we provide no opinion, attestation or other form of assurance with respect to our work or the information upon which our work was based,” it added.

According to breaking news reports condemned convicts including four Nigerians have been taken from their prison cells to the execution site on Nusakambangan..

According to the UK Guardian, Indonesian television is also reporting that the executions of eight prisoners – all men – have taken place, but that the Filipina woman, Mary Jane Veloso, was spared at the last minute, after a woman accused of tricking her into carrying drugs turned herself into police in the Philippines on Tuesday.

There are reports that the executions took place at around 00.25 local time. At nearby Cilacap port, anti-death penalty protesters began playing the song Hallelujah.

They were shot dead by firing squads comprising 12 police privates.Their last meal was KFC.

The reports by some media outfits claiming that terrorists are now in control of Mafa in Borno State are false. The truth is that an attempt by a group of fleeing terrorists who strayed towards the town and engaged in their typical suicide attack was duly repelled by troops. Similarly, the claim by some media organisations that terrorists chased out troops and took over Marte cannot be verified as troops were busy elsewhere during the said attack.

However, all efforts to track the terrorists who were reported to have attacked the town have not indicated their presence as claimed. Surveillance activities are however ongoing although there has been no indication of the large number of terrorists as being claimed in some reports attributed to anonymous sources. The terrorist are certainly no longer capable of that level of coordinated action by thousands of terrorists as reported.

Five-year-old boy kidnapped in Lagos, found in Ogun

A five-year-old boy, who gave his name as Abraham Adeyemi, suspected to have been abducted in Lagos State has been found in Ogun State.

Adeyemi was said to have been found in front of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Imedu Nla, Mowe, in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.

The victim told our correspondent that he was a nursery one pupil of the New Way Nursery and Primary School.

He, however, said he did not remember where the school was located in Lagos State.

OMG! Boy Kidnapped and Raped Two Year Old Girl In Lagos

A two-year-old toddler, Precious (pseudonym) has been raped by one Azeez Ganiyu, after she was abducted from her residence on Giwa Street, Ijora Badia, Lagos State.

The incident happened on April 16 at about 10am after the victim’s mother left her in a room with a neighbour to buy food at a nearby shop.

Our correspondent gathered that 16-year-old Ganiyu abducted the girl when she walked outside to play with other children.

He reportedly took her to an uncompleted building, said to be a few kilometers away from the victim parents’ house, and raped her.

We have noted with concern, the allegation by the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Lai Mohammed that officials of the Federal Government are engaged in “last minute looting of the nation’s resources, rushed privatization of key institutions and hurried recruitment into the public service”.

We also consider as most unfortunate and uncharitable, the suggestion by Alhaji Mohammed that the Jonathan Administration is trying to “tie the hands” of the incoming government merely by continuing to discharge its constitutional responsibilities until the end of its tenure.
