Anthony Mason dies at 48

The longtime power forward for the New York Knicks, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure earlier this month, died at 48, ESPN.com reported, citing a spokesman from the team.
Fox Sports reported that Mason played 13 seasons in league and was named Sixth Man of the Year in 1995.

Residents of Obele community in Oko-Agbola, Magbon area of Badagry, Lagos, were taken aback at the sight of policemen at the site of a swimming pool around the area on February 13, 2015. However, before their arrival, a crowd had gathered to watch the bloated headless body of a man in the river. At the approach of the policemen, the crowd disappeared into thin air for fear of possible arrest.

On closer observation , it was discovered that the headless man also had other parts of his body mutilated. For instance, his two breasts were slashed off, his two wrists chopped off and his chest region dissected, revealing a conspicuously deep hole. Not only that, his stomach was also discovered to have been sliced open with the intestines missing, as well as his manhood.

Again, I’m going to go out on a limb here to talk on a subject that may not be very popular or nice to Nigerian celebs, especially the guilty ones. I have said it severally that just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean they are smart. Thieves return Lupita Nyong'o's $150,000 Oscars dress 'after realising the pearls on it were fake'

Thieves have returned a dress worn by the actress Lupita Nyong’o after apparently realising the pearls adorning it were fake.

When Ms Nyong’o wore the gown to Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony it was reported that the dress had 6,000 real Akoya cultured pearls sewn into it and was worth $150,000.

Three young ladies lost their lives on Thursday along Lagos-Benin highway after their bus was hit by a vehicle carrying the operatives of Nigerian Customs Service in a hot chase.
According to an eyewitness,the deceased ladies were in a hummer bus with a registration number EDO AKA 35 LG carrying their goods known okirika.

There was laughter at the Sharia Court, Samaru, Gusau, Zamfara State, during the week, when a housewife, Aisha Dannupawa, asked the court to dissolve her one-week marriage to her husband, Ali Maizinari, because she could not bear the size of his pen**is.

When the case came up, according to Tribune, the woman told the court that she married her husband after her first marriage failed.

demanded, she was invited into his parents house.

A husband and wife thought to be Rockland County's oldest married couple will celebrate their birthdays this weekend — with a combined age of 212.

Duranord Veillard will turn 108 on Saturday while his wife of 82 years, Jeanne, turns 105 in May.

The time was 7pm, penultimate Saturday. The venue was a hotel on Abaranje Road in Ikotun, a suburb in Lagos State. He adorned black denims on a black T-shirt. He said his name was Kenny, of course, he admitted it wasn’t his real name.

A $150,000 custom-made Calvin Klein Collection by Francisco Costa dress, worn by actress Lupita Nyong'o at the Oscars, has been stolen in Hollywood, BBC News reports.

The dress, studded with 6,000 natural white pearls, was taken from the London Hotel in West Hollywood when Nyong'o was out of the room.

A 33-year-old electrician, Chukwuka Onuorah, who was contracted to install a DSTV decoder, in the home of a client, Mrs Gloria, allegedly returned to the house the next day to r*pe the client’s 15-year old housemaid. Leadership reports:

The incident occurred around 3pm on February 6, when Gloria who lived alone with the house help invited Onuorah over to her house to install the decoder. Onuorah did not finish the job that day and was told that he should come back only when Gloria was at home.

A middle-aged man escaped death by the whiskers in Enugu, yesterday, following an attack by angry teachers of Metropolitan Girls Secondary School located at Ogui New Layout.

A young man, simply identified as Akeem Amoo has broken his spinal cord after he engaged in a fight over a woman with one Michael Taiwo. PM News reports:

The incident happened at about 7.40 p.m. recently at Omisesan junction, Alagbado area of Lagos State, western Nigeria, where the two men reside. The 28-year-old Taiwo reportedly lifted Amoo up and hit him on the ground where stones were and he broke one of his legs and spinal cord.

A strange thing happened in Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti South-West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, where some people who had slaughtered a goat for a burial were shocked to find some pieces of coins, keys, padlocks, raw gold and wedding ring among others inside the goat after cutting its belly. The SUN reports:

A Johannesburg man and an adulterous woman found themselves unable to separate from each other after having s*x in the woman’s home last Thursday, this is according to a report by SA’s Daily Sun. "As of midnight on Thursday (05:00 GMT), people who use the drug in private no longer face prosecution. The change has created tension between the city’s mayor and Congress. Washington DC joins Alaska, Colorado, and Washington state as the only places in the US that allow the use of the drug for recreational purposes.
