Love they say is a beautiful thing, see how this 77-year-old widow who couldn't face life without her husband of 50 years lay on his grave and took a fatal overdose.
According to daily mail uk, Grandmother Louie Wallis travelled 35 miles from her home in Southport, Merseyside to her husband Norman's grave in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire after deciding she could 'simply not live without him'.
She waited until staff had gone home for the night before laying down on his gravestone and taking a fatal overdose on January 29.
Workers found her body the following morning alongside a suitcase containing sentimental mementos, a suicide note, and a receipt revealing she had pre-paid for her own funeral the previous day.
At an inquest into her death today, detective inspector Gareth Willis of Lancashire Police said it was clear Mrs Wallis had carefully prepared for her own death in advance.
He said: 'The suicide letter to her family made it clear what her intentions were.
'The suitcase was full of her worldly possessions and her handbag was next to her.'
