The former Coronation Street actress turned star of Ordinary Lies has taken pole position in the magazine’s annual survey, after being voted runner-up in 2014.
‘Many congratulations to Michelle on her very worthy win. This year’s 100 Sexiest poll was more keenly contested than ever,’ editor Joe Barnes said.
‘We had over a million votes, which was truly incredible. And for me, and the FHM team, it’s great to see a hugely talented UK actress take the top spot.’
According to metro Michelle’s fiance Mark Wright also had something to say about her win, taking to Twitter to congratulate his bride-to-be.
‘To all the fellas in the world I just want to say….. I’m sorry !!!! That beautiful creature is about to be my wife,’ he joked.
Runner-up Kendall Jenner leapt a whole 29 places in to the number two spot, while 2014 winner Jennifer Lawrence dropped down to number three.
The top five was completed by Kate Upton, up from last year’s number 18, and Strictly champ turned X Factor presenter Caroline Flack – who featured in the 2012 and 2013 lists but was absent last year.
