The accident occurred near the NNPC Mega Station at the Asa-Dam area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
It was gathered that the yet-to-be identified driver of the taxi marked, LFF 475 XA, and a passenger, identified only as Alhaji Saka, died in the accident, while three other passengers, who occupied the back seat, sustained injuries.
The injured passengers were identified as Alhaji Lamidi, Mrs. Ambibola Jimoh and her son, Olohuntoyin.

Mbaka, whose New Year Message, “From Goodluck to Badluck,” became a major talking point during the campaigns for the election, said Buhari’s emergence was a divine victory for all Nigerians.

We are all saddened as the One Year of this heinous abduction approaches on April 14, 2015. We are hopeful and still expect the rescue of our 219 Girls before that date. However, we are organizing to commemorate this sad event if they aren’t back by then.

Boko Haram will be defeated in 2 months - Buhari
The president-elect, who made this known in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour from Abuja yesterday, said he would tackle the lingering issue of insecurity in the Northeast, which is the epicenter of an ongoing military campaign against Boko Haram by cooperating with neighbouring nations Chad, Cameroon and Niger.
Mr. Buhari, who defeated incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, also accused the PDP-led federal government of doing too little, too late in the war against insurgency.

Gunmen storm Garissa University in Kenya, killing at least 2 people & injuring 30
Troops have surrounded Garissa University College and are engaging the attackers.
Witnesses spoke of the gunmen firing indiscriminately and there are fears the casualty toll could rise.
