Raid your piggy banks, selfie-mad councillor Karen Danczuk is auctioning herself off this Valentine’s Day - and she's already had a bid of £10,000.

As the M.E.N. revealed yesterday, the ‘sexiest’ - or ‘most embarrassing’ - woman in politics, depending on your view, is offering one lucky person a date on Saturday night for charity.

‘Queen of the Selfie’, who is married to Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk, has now decided on two charities to donate cash to - and will tell the highest bidder they’ve won on Friday afternoon.

After telling her 37,000 Twitter followers about the offer, Castlefield restaurant Perutti offered Karen and her date a free meal.

Karen, who says she’s happy to accompany a man or a woman for a bite to eat, is raising money for Cash for Kid’s and Rochdale RSPCA.

She's already had a bid of £10,300, but Karen's keeping her lips sealed about who it's from.

Interested parties have until noon on Friday to place their bids to karendanczuk@hotmail.com.

Husband Simon doesn't seem to pleased - and is already on the look-out for a date of his own on Saturday.

The Rochdale MP tweeted: "Don't now have a Valentines Night date! Any offers, suggestions or ideas most welcome."
