A fatal accident which claims no fewer than 12 lives occurred around 4pm along Ilesa-Ife
Expressway yesterday. It was alleged that the auto crash involved a Toyota Sienna bus and a Toyota Hiace both loaded with passengers.
Eyewitnesses told Daily Sun that officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were seen rescuing the injured at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Toyota Hiace was said to have left his lane and drove against traffic.
Some children were said to be in one of the vehicles. An eyewitness also said no fewer than four children were among the dead victims.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Osun State, Mr. Mohammed Hussein, who confirmed the accident, said he did not have the details as at the time of filing this report.
