See The lucky survivors of the Garissa attack

These are the pictures of the lucky survivors from the Garissa attack last week that left over 147 people were dead. The Islamist sect, Al-Shabaab stormed a university in Garissa killing 147 and injuring many.

The guy pictured above is Peter Njue. Peter lost so many of his classmates but luckily, he is among the few that will tell the story. The young man was shot on the chest, twice in the stomach and on the left arm.

He's currently receiving treatment at the hospital. See more photos of the survivors after the cut..

Kenyans dedicate Easter to mourn Garissa attack victims

Three days of national mourning begin for victims of university massacre by al-Shabab which killed 148 people.

Kenyans have begun three days of national mourning and dedicated Easter Sunday prayer services to the 148 victims of the recent university massacre by al-Shabab fighters.

Easter ceremonies across the country were due to be held in the memory of the students and security personnel killed in a country where 80 percent of the population is Christian, with flags flying at half-mast.
