Hillarious! Police arrest man for shooting self in Lagos(Photo)

A 20-year-old security man, Meshack Samuel, has been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for shooting himself.

The police described the incident as “robbers’ accidental discharge.”Samuel is being detained for alleged illegal possession of fire arm.His action led to the arrest of his friends in Awoyaya Street, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

According to the command’s spokesperson, Ken Nwosu,the suspects were arrested following complaints by people, who alerted them on hearing the sound of gunshot.

JAMB candidates arrested in Benue

The Benue Police Command on Monday arrested 50 candidates of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for violent protests and stoning of security officials.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Hyacinth Dagala, said the police intervened to prevent breakdown of law and order when the candidates started throwing stones at JAMB officials.

Pastor Arrested by NIS for defrauding church member in Akwa Ibom

A 40 year old Pastor, Victor Udom, has been arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, for defrauding one Mr Eyo Akpan of N500,000. Akpan is a member of his church.

Udom, who is a prophet with Eternity Mission Church, Udo Uweme area of Uyo, collected N270,000 from Akpan with a promise that he will get a job with the NIS for his daughter, Miss Magdalene Akpan.
According to the State Comptroller, NIS, Abdullahi Garba, Magdalene brought an appointment letter to the Command given to her by Udom with the intent to start working.
