There was an explosion in Sudanese capital Khartoum involving a gas tanker which killed a child and left at least 18 people injured.
According to Sudan’s Interior Ministry “A gas tanker bumped up against a bridge in central Khartoum and caught fire before it exploded,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The incident resulted in the death of a six-year-old child while about 18 others suffered various injuries,” it added.
Sudan’s Civil Defense Forces rushed to the blast scene and put off the fire.
