Heartbreak: Three Kids Of Same Father Drown Inside Well

Residents of Tudun Samanu area of Bauchi metropolis have been thrown into mourning as three children of the same father drowned in a well.

The children, whose father’s name is Alkasim Abdulahi, got drown inside a well in an uncompleted building in the area.

According to the Bauchi State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Muhammed, the incident happened at about 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, adding that the remains of the children were deposited in the mortuary of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi.



He added that the remains of the children were deposited at the mortuary for post-morgen examination to be conducted on them.

Source indicates that according to Mohammed, “On the 12/5/2015 at about 13:00 hours, one Abdallah Alkassim male and 3 years, Huzaifa Alkassim male and 2 years, and Hauwa Alkassim female and 2 years, all children of one Alkassim Abdullahi, male of behind Danga security office, Tudun Salmanu, Bauchi, got drowned in a well inside an uncompleted building at the neighborhood.

“Scene was visited by police detectives attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Division and victims rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, and were all certified dead by a medical doctor.

“Meanwhile, corpses have been deposited at the hospital mortuary for postmortem examination after which they will be released to the relatives for burial according to Islamic rites,” he said.

Mohammed said the case was being investigated.
