A commuter train bound for New York City derailed outside Philadelphia on Tuesday night, leaving at least five people dead, six in critical condition and dozens injured.
Although most of the 243 passengers managed to walk off the train, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter said more than 50 were admitted to local hospitals.
Source indicates that the cause of the derailment is currently unknown though passengers reported that the train started to behave strangely while approaching a bend. Seven carriages including the engine completely left the track
